Aditya means Sun God in Hindu mythology. It is also referred sometimes to mean
the God. The definition of Aditya as provided by Sanskrit language is as follows:
Aditi putrah aditya (Aditya is son of Aditi).
There is an interesting story behind this name. Rishi Kashyapa had two wives: Diti and Aditi. Sons of Diti were called Daitya (Demons) and sons of Aditi were called Aditya (Gods).
